I'm Mariana, as a busy business owner, wife & mom of a preschooler, I know how important it is to feel pampered, special and relaxed. You will always leave my chair with little tips and tricks on how to recreate your style at home, whether it's just hanging out or date night.
I've been a stylist for over 25 years and I'm still in love with my career and my clients. I specialize in all things color, including color correction and "lived in color". What does that mean? Soft, beautiful color & highlights that grow out naturally, less maintenance for you. I always put the integrity of your hair first, so the process may take some time. I'm proud to say after all these years, I still make education a priority, you can never stop learning.
I love to travel! Seeing those stamps in my passport reminds me of all the different places, cultures and food I've been able to experience. I feel so grateful. Speaking of food, I love to cook. So if you need travel tips or a new recipe, I'm your girl!
In my spare time you'll find me with my husband and sweet little girl at the beach or hiking and exploring the beautiful area we live in. I'm happy just chilling, watching anything True Crime. There is always a girl's night or weekend planned too!
If you're ready to hang with me and have the hair of your dreams, give me a call.
I can't wait to meet you!

Ever since Sandy could remember, she always wanted to be a hairdresser. It started when her mom would take her to her hair appointments. She would sit and wait for her and observe the salon, the interaction with stylists and their clients talking and laughing. Watching the clients expressions when they were done. She saw happy clients walking out of the salon feeling beautiful. Feeling beautiful was something she knew she wanted to make people feel, men and women. A color, highlights, or a haircut can brighten someone’s day whether they are looking for change or just maintenance. Sandy's goal is to brighten someone’s day and have her client walk out of the salon happy and feeling beautiful. Keeping up with the latest trends is important to her and she wants to make sure she is up with the current styles, colors and ready for every client that sits in her chair.
Hi all, I'm Katy! Many will remember me from working at the front desk for many years. I grew up in the beautiful state of New Jersey then moved to Rhode island after graduating from The University of Rhode Island. I met all the fabulous girls at Alagria back in 2011 and I've been part of The Alagria family ever since. I say family, because that's what it is for me. They are family away from home. Although, I am not there on the daily (I miss seeing all of our lovely clients), I get the best of both worlds. I started to work from home after my husband and I had our daughter. Now a few years later, we had our son and I am still able to take care of some business aspects and creative development for the girls from home. I hope I'll get to meet more of you at the salon!
Hello, I'm Cathy! When I decided to relocate to Rhode Island from the beaches of Jacksonville, FL, I had no idea what would be in store for me. 30 years later... I met my husband 20 years ago. We share our home with our beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback, Oskar. We do not have any children which gives us the time to focus on other things life has to offer. We both enjoy traveling and surrounding ourselves with great friends. I also have plenty of opportunity to spend time in the salon, and doing what I love! I have had short hair as long as I can remember, frankly I cannot imagine it any other way. You can be confident that I understand how difficult it can be to find someone to cut short hair and provide the proper placement of color or highlights. This can certainly make or break the final outcome. I would love to meet you, and help you to create your own unique style, maybe even make your day!

Hi, I'm Kim. I am a Newport local born and raised. I lived in South Carolina for a few years, but something didn't quite feel right and I knew that the only place I can truly call home is Newport, Rhode Island. I fell into the cosmetology program at Rogers High School, but quickly fell in love with it and knew this was what I wanted to do. Thirty years later and it is still my passion. I love making my wide range of clients feel their best, whether they come in for a cut, color or blowout; but my true love is blonding. Maybe it's because of my love for the beach that wants to give people that sun kissed look. I believe it is important to keep work and life balanced, because spending time with friends and family is always something I have enjoyed. On the weekends you can find me at the beach with my family, on a girls getaway, or binge watching reality TV. If you are looking for great hair, a local guide, or scoop on the latest reality star, I am your go to girl!
Kimmy has been a stylist for twelve years and feels it is the most rewarding career she could ever imagine. Making people feel and look beautiful is the best part for her, and she is extremely grateful to be able to call this her career. Kimmy loves many aspects of being a stylist and is always up for a challenge. Color is something she enjoys greatly such as balayage, highlights and fashion colors. Although for Kimmy part of the excitement of being a stylist is exploring all aspects of the industry and she enjoys learning new things and perfecting her craft. Kimmy was born and raised on Aquidneck Island and spends a lot of time with her son and dog at the beach collecting shells or in the water. They also can be found at amusement parks because finding new coasters is a big hobby for them. Kimmy feels Alagria Salon has a stunning and friendly atmosphere with a beautiful modern presence. Her objective will always be to provide a relaxing and pleasant experience to all of her guests because she will always make you the priority! The goal for her is to create the look you have been searching for and together she will work hard to make it happen.
Hi, I'm Amanda. I've been the salon coordinator at Alagria for about 3 years. After being a waitress for 11 years I knew I loved working with the public but needed a change of pace. The Alagria team and clients have been the answer! I strive to ensure that your visits to Alagria meet all of your expectations. I enjoy making sure all of our client's needs are being met. I like taking on all of my responsibilities as well as new ones. Outside of the salon, I love spending time with my husband and two girls. Going to beaches and walking trails are two of my favorite things to do together. I'm also a bookworm and I love a great suspenseful novel. I love meeting new people and Alagria gives me that opportunity. I can't wait to meet you!
